Welcome to Seventh Grade

Middle school years can be difficult, as students rapidly transition from child to young adult. In 7th grade, students are encouraged to grow in independence through a strong work ethic and additional responsibilities. Provided with an atmosphere of support and focus on Christ, students will be equipped for lives ahead both academically and spiritually.

Mrs. Mandi Miller

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21


Mrs. Miller is originally from the Valley and is excited to be teaching 7th grade here at Emmanuel, where her husband attended school. She graduated from Martin Luther College in 2003. Her first assignment was to teach grades 3-5 at Shepherd Lutheran in Albuquerque, NM. In 2004, Mrs. Miller married her husband and for the next 8 years moved around the country while he served in the U.S. Navy. During that time she taught as a literacy specialist for English language learners in grades 1-5 and a math intervention specialist for grades K-6. After being a stay at home mom to her two daughters, she returned to the classroom in 2015 to serve in the preschool at Shepherd Lutheran. From 2016-2021, Mrs. Miller taught at Eldorado High School in Albuquerque. While teaching there, she pursued more education and graduated with her Special Education Certification in 2020. She was blessed with the opportunity to return to the WELS ministry with a one year call to Shepherd Lutheran in Albuquerque, where she taught grades 6-8.
