Welcome to
First Grade & Second Grade

First Grade

First grade is a year full of firsts. It’s the year students start writing simple sentences, adding and subtracting, and even conducting small science experiments. First grade is the year that students develop and improve their reading skills.  Students develop important social skills, and they will become more responsible, independent, and self-sufficient. Most importantly, they will grow in God’s Word, and they begin to learn and understand God’s plan for them in this world.

Second Grade

In second grade, students make huge strides in developing and improving their academic skills. They learn to read fluently, improve and expand their math skills, and use writing to communicate their ideas. Second graders also develop important social skills, become more responsible and self-sufficient. Most importantly, they will grow in knowledge and understanding of God’s plan for them in their lives.
